About Advex Instruments

The main business of Advex Instruments is the production of scientific instruments for surface analysis of solid materials. Advex Instruments, s.r.o., was founded in early 2007 as a spin-off company of Masaryk University in Brno to assume the well established production of See System, contact angle and surface energy measuring tool, which was originally invented and produced at the university during years 2002-2006. Athough the See System has stayed the company's flagship in production of scientific instruments, the company extended its interest into diagnostics of other surface properties as e.g. self-cleaning performance of photocathalytic materials, water permeabilitty etc. In development of new instruments and measurement methods, the company collaborates mainly with its parent Masaryk University, especially with Department of Plasma Physics and Technology at the Faculty of Science of the Masaryk University.
